中華人民共和國首十七年(1949-1966，簡稱建國 "十七年")是一個新生的現代民族國家力求在國際社會上贏得認同的關鍵時期。這一時期也是國家機構主動對外翻譯中國文學的開創時期。由作為國家對外宣傳機構的外文出版社組織翻譯出版了大量的中國古典文學、現代文學和當代文學作品，意圖藉此重新塑造新中國的形象，確立新生共和國政府的合法地位。本文從民族國家建構和意識形態的視角，考察建國 "十七年" 期間中國文學英譯如何再現民族國家形象、建構新生的現代民族國家。 [Go to the full record in the library's catalogue]
