SUMMARY : Home to Hong Kong’s first and only bilingual BA degree in creative writing, the Creative and Professional Writing Programme at Hong Kong Baptist University is proud to host Creative Writing in the Academy: An International Symposium on 11-12 November 2016. This event explores the nature of English and Chinese-language creative writing as an academic discipline at the tertiary level. We examine the international rise of creative writing programmes from historical, pedagogical and ideological perspectives by fostering a dialogue with prominent international and local writers who teach creative writing. The symposium features bilingual panels during the day and literary readings in the evening.  [Go to the full record in the library's catalogue]
