In this talk, we will review the history of two research streams of the metaverse. One concerns simulations, where various experiments have been conducted in virtual environments called digital cities or digital twins. The other is about interaction, where the psychological impact of communication in virtual space has been analysed. After reviewing the two research streams, we discuss the possibility of applying the metaverse to interdisciplinary education. [Go to the full record in the library's catalogue]
