中山公園是以孫中山先生(1866-1925)命名的公園，具有紀念孫中山先生的目的與意義。根據目前能掌握的資料，全球中山公園現有106個，分佈兩岸四地(中國大陸香港、澳門、台灣)、美國、加拿大、新加坡。雖然未能說有華人的地方就有中山公園，但設立中山公園的確是紀念孫中山先生的其中一種重要途徑。為了紀念孫中山先生，1925年以後不少已建及新建的公園，相繼以「中山」命名，據估計民國時期共有超過300個。中山公園不但是全球最多以相同名稱命名的公園之一，亦承載了海內外華人對孫中山先生的情感與敬仰。中山公園能在不同時期、不同地點、不同意識形態下存在，不單發揮提供休憩的功能，亦同時展現民眾對孫中山先生的紀念，很值得進一步研究。 [Go to the full record in the library's catalogue]
