基督宗教在港的傳播，已達一百七十年。自香港開埠以來，基督新教各宗派及天主教先後在港建立教會，惟有關本地教會歷史的書寫及重構，仍是一片有待開墾的荒地。歷史建構有賴檔案及文獻資料的保存及使用。為推動教會文獻的保存工作，香港浸會大學圖書館在美國耶魯大學 "Kenneth Scott Latourette Initiative for the Documentation of World Christianity" 的資助下，已完成第一階段的教會刊物數碼化計劃。參與的基督新教宗派及組織包括：基督教香港信義會、香港聖公會、中華基督教會香港區會、香港浸信會聯會及香港基督教協進會，合共對4,387卷教會刊物作數碼化處理，在保存文獻以至推動研究工作方面，貢獻良多。香港浸會大學圖書館為介紹及公佈是項數碼化計劃，並藉此呼籲學術界及教會界重視資料保存及歷史研究，特聯同中國基督教史學會主辦「香港教會文獻的保存與利用」圓桌會議暨「教會刊物數碼化計劃」發佈會。 [Go to the full record in the library's catalogue]
