今年是辛亥革命100周年，本校舉辦了題為「辛亥革命的歷史意義」之講座，並邀請了歷史系李金強教授為同學回顧辛亥革命的緣起、過程，以及其歷史意義。李教授以司馬遷之言：「究天人之際，通古今之變」鼓勵同學對世間的變化有認識、瞭解，從過去的經驗吸取智慧，他日成為社會上的領袖。辛亥革命的歷史意義可分為四方面：一，民族覺醒：國民發現自己不如人，從而向西方學習；二，開創民主共和：辛亥革命造就中國成為亞洲第一個實施民主共和的國家；三，政府結構改變：革命促使中國廢除以往不合時宜的制度，設立有力國家社會發展的制度；四，思想全面開放：革命下開五四運動，影響深遠。 [Go to the full record in the library's catalogue]
