Mr. Shigekazu Sato, Consul-General and Ambassador of Japan in Hong Kong highlighted the increase in trade and people-to-people exchanges between Japan and China, as well as the recent top-level visits between the two countries. He added that Hong Kong, with its many advantages: a free and open economy, the rule of law and transparency, access to information, openness to different ideas and opinions, and the understanding of the Mainland and of Japan can play a constructive role in enhancing the relationship between the two nations.
