Digital Humanities and the Research Library
MAJOR SPEAKER : Jones, Louise
LENGTH : 70 min.
ACCESS : Open to all
SUMMARY : University libraries across the globe are starting to offer support to the digital humanities. In her talk Louise Jones will discuss the rationale driving such developments, the transformation of the research library. The form digital humanities support may take reflects the strategic priorities of individual libraries. Drawing on her experience of introducing digital humanities support at the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom, and the very new initiative at the Chinese University of Hong Kong University Library System, Louise will explore the challenges and rewards for libraries moving in this direction.  [Go to the full record in the library's catalogue]
