SUMMARY :
Hong Kong Baptist University is SCET’s Global Partner representative from Hong Kong. This engagement provides the opportunities for –
• Bi-directional exchange of students.
• Access to developing internship opportunities at Berkeley and in the Silicon Valley.
The first Global Partnership event is the HKBU Entrepreneurship Bootcamp. With an aim to facilitate immersive learning for a new venture creation, the Business Support Entrepreneurship and Training Programme (BEST) under Knowledge Transfer Office, has selected like-minded students with their own business ideas to participate a holistic entrepreneurship bootcamp where participants can form teams, pitch ideas, attend interactive lectures, receive one-on-one mentoring from industry experts and learn in a collaborative environment. This was a good opportunity for connecting all the professions together in promoting entrepreneurship culture in the community.
Three winning teams of the bootcamp will fly over to UC Berkeley and participate in the Berkeley Method of Entrepreneurship Bootcamp in August 2017 –
