SUMMARY :	香港中學文憑課程通識教育科要求高中學生進行「獨立專題探究」，以達致「學會學習」的目標。「獨立專題探究」要求學生在一個自選題目上進行深入探究，並且展示獨立思考及課題管理能力。我們發現很多學生都對媒體傳播課題很有興趣，因此同學需要有基本社會科學研究方法的知識，以及相關課題的最新研究結果。在2015年，香港浸會大學資助「中學生通識科『獨立專題探究』支援計劃」，以協助中學生進行探究，該計劃提供一些社會科學研究的實例，簡明而專業地介紹不同研究方法，亦設立了網站平台，提供性別角色認同研究的教學資源。
